How many questions is the TEAS 7, and how long is it?
The ATI TEAS 7 is 170 questions in 209 minutes of testing time, split across four sections: Reading (45 questions, 55 minutes), Mathematics (38 questions, 57 minutes), Science (50 questions, 60 minutes), and English and Language Usage (37 questions, 37 minutes). Twenty of the 170 are unscored pretest questions, so 150 count toward your score.
What is a passing TEAS score?
ATI does not publish a national passing score for the TEAS. Each nursing program sets its own required score, and requirements differ widely between schools and between program types at the same school. Check the requirement published by every program you are applying to, because a score that clears one may not clear another.
Can I use a calculator on the TEAS 7?
Yes. A four-function calculator is provided on screen for the whole exam. You may not bring your own.
Is there a break during the TEAS?
Yes — a break follows the Mathematics section. Section time does not carry over: any time left in a section is lost when that section closes.
