Plans & pricing FAQ
What does the question count actually mean?
It is how many questions from that exam’s bank your plan unlocks, and it is a real limit rather than a marketing figure — your practice sessions, topic drills and mock exams all draw from exactly that set. Complete unlocks the whole bank for your exam.
Is the question set on a smaller plan a fair sample?
Yes. A capped plan gets a cross-section spread across the exam’s topics, not the first N questions in the bank — so a Starter plan still covers the breadth of the exam rather than a corner of it.
Does pricing vary by state?
No. Plan prices are the same everywhere. Your state matters for CNA and Medication Aide because those credentials are administered state by state, so we record which state’s certification you are preparing for — it does not change the price.
Is this a subscription?
No. Every plan is one-time, fixed-duration access. Nothing renews automatically and there is nothing to cancel.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, and what you already paid is credited. Upgrading within a credential takes the price of your current plan off the price of the higher one, so you pay only the difference. The upgrade applies immediately, and the new plan’s full access period starts from the moment it completes. Credit applies within one credential — what you paid for NCLEX-RN does not reduce the price of CNA. See the FAQ for worked examples.
Can I get a refund?
The $19 and $29 Starter plans are non-refundable, and you will see that at checkout before you pay. Every other plan can be refunded within 7 calendar days of purchase — email info@carenursingprep.com. Full details are in the FAQ.
What if I am studying for more than one credential?
Each credential is bought separately, because each has its own question bank. Your account holds them side by side and your dashboard shows each one’s access separately.
